G-UP MEDIA AND PHOTO RELEASE POLICY

  1. Purpose and Scope
G-UP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) captures high-quality photography and video content during supported trail runs, mountain expeditions, race-day support pop-ups, and indoor training sessions. This content is used to document athlete achievements, highlight our Pay-It-Forward community initiatives, and promote future G-UP activities on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials.

  2. Grant of Rights and Consent
By participating in a G-UP supported session, race-day event, or expedition—or by accepting complimentary race-day photography—you grant G-UP a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, edit, and publish photographs, video footage, and audio recordings containing your image, likeness, or voice.

  3. Commercial and Promotional Use
Captured media may be used across various digital and print platforms, including but not limited to:

  • The G-UP official website, landing pages, and blogs.

  • Official social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).

  • Promotional flyers, marketing campaigns, and press releases.

  • Impact reports and content showcasing our Pay-It-Forward and local community partnerships.

  1. Ownership and Compensation

  • All digital photographs, video files, and media created by G-UP or its designated photographers remain the exclusive property of G-UP.

  • You acknowledge that you will not receive financial compensation, royalties, or ownership claims regarding the publication of these materials.

  • Where complimentary photos are provided directly to athletes for personal use, you are free to share them on personal social media accounts. We kindly request that you credit G-UP when posting.

  1. Opt-Out and Media Withdrawal Rights
We respect your privacy. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, or if you prefer that your image not be used in promotional materials:

  • Prior to an Event: Notify us in writing via email before your session begins so our crew and photographers can be informed.

  • Removal Request: If an image or video of you appears on our website or social media channels and you would like it removed, please email us with the specific image details. We will promptly remove or blur your image where feasible.
